ABOUT MCCQC

Metropolitan Community Church of the Quad Cities (MCCQC) is a member congregation of the MCC Churches (UFMCC).

MCCQC was founded in 1980 by a small group of individuals from the Iowa and Illinois Quad Cities. Since then our congregation has grown and we have expanded our mission to include ministries that exemplify our commitment to serving the greater Quad Cities community as a whole.

Our facilities are located at 3019 N. Harrison Street in Davenport, Iowa. There is a limited amount of off-street parking available behind the church—enter the parking lot from 30th Street. Additional parking is available on the side streets in the neighborhood.

Iowa Marriage

Fortunately, the State of Iowa recognizes the rights of same sex couples as they seek to wed legally. MCCQC currently has three (3) persons at who are authorized to perform ceremonies. Visit our Services Page for marriage information, steps and fees. Also, you can help keep our hard-won rights by letting the State of Iowa government know how you feel by contacting your legislators...

MCC's North Central U.S. Network Conference!

The conference, held at MCC of the Quad Cities, made history! It concluded with the first legal same-sex marriage at a church conference in the Midwest.
The keynote presentation,“With All We Have”  by Mr. Stan Kimer discussed the subject of Stewardship—of ourselves, of our lives, and of our churches.  Mr. Kimer, a long-time lay leader in MCC, is a member of St. John’s MCC in Raleigh, NC; he was chair of the Commission on the Laity 2001-2003; and is currently President-Elect of the North Carolina Council of Churches -- quite an honor for an open MCCer.  What a dynamic speaker!
